Sojana, a 35-meter masterpiece, was recently sold in a high-profile transaction facilitated by Nicolas Marchand of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage and Hank Halsted of Northrop & Johnson. This sale is noteworthy, as it involves a vessel with a rich history and exceptional performance capabilities.
Built in 2003 by Green Marine, Sojana is a custom-made high-performance ketch designed by the renowned Farr Yacht Design. The brief was ambitious: to create the longest and fastest yacht that could be managed by the owner and a small crew of friends. And it succeeded! Sojana cruises with a core crew of five but can effortlessly accommodate a full race team when needed.
And here's where it gets impressive: Sojana's performance is legendary. She has dominated the racecourse, leaving competitors in her wake at prestigious events like the St. Barths Bucket, Antigua Sailing Week, and Palma Superyacht Cup. Her previous owner, the late Sir Peter Harrison, amassed an enviable record of sailing triumphs aboard this very yacht.
Stepping inside, the yacht exudes classic elegance. The interior, designed by Ken Freivokh, takes you back to the golden age of yachting with its dark mahogany paneling and gold-plated fittings. The accommodation is spacious, offering eight guests a comfortable stay in four cabins, including two doubles, a twin, and a cozy "kids' cabin."
