Understanding the BBL Finals Format
In the BBL, the top four teams out of eight qualify for the finals. The winner of the initial Qualifier match advances directly to the Final, earning home-field advantage as well. However, the losing team from this match then competes against the winner of the Knockout match in what is known as the Challenger. Importantly, the team that loses in the Knockout round is eliminated from the championship chase. Ultimately, the winner of the Challenger will face off against the Qualifier winner in the Final.
