Our beloved Cinderella takes center stage, joined by her not-so-lovely sisters and a host of special guests. The opening night was a glittering affair, with an extra touch of glamour provided by none other than the Chairman and Vice Chairman of West Lindsey District Council.
Cllr Matt Boles, sporting his civic chain, attended the ball with his daughter Darcie, who is part of the talented cast. He expressed his pride and excitement, praising the Trinity Arts Centre team for their wonderful productions and the involvement of local youth. Cllr Boles' daughter, Darcie, is a shining example of the incredible local talent that makes Gainsborough's pantomime tradition so unique and special.
But here's where it gets controversial... Cllr Boles' attendance and support for the production have sparked some debate. Some argue that it's a wonderful display of community engagement, while others question the optics of council leaders' involvement in such events. What do you think? Cinderella's classic tale of overcoming adversity and finding happiness will come to life with dazzling costumes, hilarious antics, and all the traditional panto fun we've come to love.
Produced by the same talented team that brought us Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 2024, this year's show promises to be an unforgettable journey to the ultimate festive ball. Premium performances are scheduled for December 21st, 23rd, 24th, and 31st, with school performances throughout mid-December.
